Chinese New Year - The Year of the White Metal Tiger
Sunday, February 14th is the Chinese New Year and considered an auspcious day. 2010 is the year of the Tiger and the element is White Metal. We can expect to see exhibits of courage and fortitude this year. You may feel it beginning to build within yourself and those around you. People are ready to take action, to change their lives and circumstances. Tigers are known for their flashy appearance and strength. It won't be a dull year!
February 14th is considered an excellent day to perform blessing rituals in line with your personal beliefs. Some families bless their homes with Holy Water, others use Sage or incense, but the common thread, is the setting of intentions for what the New Year will bring.
Each inidivdual will have a unique experience this year based on their own Chinese Astrology. To gain some insight into your predicted experience this year, you can google "Chinese Zodiac" and find 100s of websites telling you your animal sign based on your year of birth and what 2010 will bring you.
My only suggestion for the year is this...
Take time to sit in silence everyday. Call it meditation, prayer or simply shutting down; this allows us to learn to listen to our intuition.
We are surrounded by so much noise these days, our natural widsom can be drowned out. All the self-help books and TV shows can't help us if we don't train ourselves to be silent so we can hear our wisdom. By giving our inner voices time to be heard, we'll probably live longer, be happier and stop worrying about things that don't really matter.
No matter what happens in life, if we trust our intuition, choices become clear.
